Elementary School
"Strengthening the saved by equipping students to serve their neighbor and seek the lost."
St. Paul’s 1st through 4th grades are more than reading, writing, and arithmetic. We give our students the opportunity during these pivotal years to grow and learn through avenues that work best in these fundamental years. Learning through play, examples, experiments, sharing, and a diversified approach, students are given more than just the basics. They are given a foothold for the future in this life and the next.
In our mission to develop caring, servant leaders, we want each student to know and share the love of Jesus Christ. We provide opportunities for learning about Christ’s love through religion class for each grade, daily devotions, weekly chapel, faith families’ activities, and the integration of gospel conversations into every subject and activity throughout the school day. Teachers also share their faith on a daily basis and encourage relationships based on Jesus’ relationship with His children.
We also want our students to be prepared for the ever-changing world in which we live. Technology is integrated into the curriculum daily through the use of SmartBoards® in all classrooms, as well as a separate computer lab for each campus. In addition, each class uses iPad carts for hands on technology learning, and a supplement to the activities and lessons they receive each day.
St. Paul's Lutheran School in Des Peres is a St Louis Christian school, servings grades K-8. In our elementary division, we focus on providing grades 1-4 with a strong academic experience and a Christ-Centered foundation that will carry them through the rest of their lives.
"When my son was entering Kindergarten, I toured 15 different schools in West County before selecting St. Paul’s. We are so happy with the school and the community it provides our family. The teachers are incredibly talented and loving individuals. The smaller class size allows my son to get extra time and allows the teachers the ability to adapt to the needs of the students on a given day. We love it here!"
